Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Super B Plus Group Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline Year: 2022

Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations.

Super B Plus Group Ltd began collecting emissions data for beginning of 2022. We recalculated our baseline in the year ending 2022.

Emissions reduction targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets: working from home, sharing vehicles, applying consolidated shipping method and shortening supply chain.

We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 2 tCO2e per employee by 2029. This is a reduction of 20%

Progress against these targets can be seen in the column graph below:

Carbon Reduction Projects

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2022 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 0.2 tCO2e, a 7.4%ge reduction against the 2023 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract.

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented during our reporting year 2023:

  • Set out environmental objectives by creating Environmental Policy Statement.
  • Increased internal communications and engagement across the business through new pages, blog posts and all staff presentations on our new approach to sustainability.
  • Built sustainability into procurement processes including environment and net zero questions as part of the tender process; the first set of tenders have been evaluated based on their environmental credentials.

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

  • Maintain an environmental sustainability online awareness aimed at fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and support among individuals and institutions.
